PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
The person credited with this unit standard is able to describe and explain the quality control procedures and criteria to meet required standards as well as apply quality control procedures to project control activities. Learners accessing this unit standard will also be able to implement corrective action to improve quality of the project work to meet required standards in the quality control procedures.

The qualifying learner is capable of:
  • Describing and explaining the quality control procedures and criteria to meet required standards.
  • Assisting with the gathering and collating of data required for quality control.
  • Applying quality control procedures to own project activities.

    Collated data pertaining to quality control is reviewed with project personnel and comments incorporated in required format and time frames.

    Potential quality deviations and exceptions are identified and communicated to higher authority in accordance with organisational procedures. 
    ASSESSMENT CRITERION RANGE 
    Deviations and exceptions will include differences relating to scope, financial, project plans, quality plans, resources.

    Actions recommended by project personnel are recorded and referred to the relevant authorities in line with organisational procedures.

    Quality control data and reports are reproduced and distributed in accordance with organisational procedures.
