    Different types of materials for constructing level crossings are listed accordingly. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 6 
    The purpose and requirements (e.g. colour, materials used, etc.) for cattle guards are explained with examples.

    The purpose and placement of different rail indicator boards, as well as rules applicable are explained when using rail indicator boards.

    Minor repairs are made to fencing and access gates and major defects are reported appropriately. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 2 
    Defects are identified and repaired at different types of crossings including track sign. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 3 
    Arrangements are made with all the relevant role-players for repair works at different types of crossings. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 4 
    Condition of cattle guard is determined (safety and rigidity) and repaired where required.

    Rail indicator boards are maintained in accordance with specifications.
