PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
A learner who has achieved this unit standard will be competent in:

Preparing a cigarette packet over-wrapper and display filling unit for production to ensure readiness for the over-wrapping and filling process.

UNIT STANDARD RANGE 
The learner is expected to perform the specific outcomes as reflected in this unit standard with minimal supervision, but with access to work-site procedures and operating instructions

The scope of this unit standard deals with the preparation of the cigarette packet over-wrapper and display filling unit after packing and before case filling

Material includes, but is not limited to, film wrap, tear-tape, blanks, bundle wrap, end labels and adhesives

Equipment includes, but is not limited to, adhesive pot brushes, adhesive applicators, folders, code blocks, heaters and conveyer belts.
