PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
This Unit Standard will be useful to those who seek to make informed, defensible decisions within the framework of Christian ethics, who wish to engage in personal moral formation and who seek to facilitate moral formation in their church and/or social context.

People credited with this Unit Standard are able to:
  • Describe basic approaches to Christian ethical theory.
  • Engage in personal moral formation.
  • Facilitate moral formation in their local church and/or social context.

    Learners are assumed to be competent in Communication at NQF Level 3 and Mathematical Literacy at NQF Level 2.

    Describe basic approaches to Christian ethical theory.

    Basic understanding of Christian ethical theory, including ethical norms and values, ethical goals and consequences, and virtue ethics.
