PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
Demonstrate understanding and discuss the implication and application of sections 9, 15 and 24 and the regulations regarding the general safety regulations of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHS Act) as applicable to experienced workers in the air-conditioning, refrigeration and ventilation industries.

    The learner does not have to repeat the laws "word for word" but only needs to demonstrate that he understands the application of the law as it affects him/her in the workplace.
