    UNIT STANDARD NOTES
This unit standard is replacing unit standard 13394 - 'Install eutectic and multi compartment transport refrigeration systems' - Level 3.

    Supplementary information:

A eutectic transport refrigeration system consists of a condensing set incorporating a (semi) hermetic compressor, condenser coil and fan and all accessories, electrical equipment and safety instrumentation required and a eutectic evaporator complete with all necessary distributors, expansion valves and manifolds. The condensing set is fitted with a length of power cabling to connect the unit to an external 220 or 380 volt power supply. The condensing set can be installed "nose or undermount".

The eutectic evaporator is to be installed inside the truck cooled compartments.

The components are interconnected by means of copper piping and/or flexible hoses.

The trucks are used for transporting goods at low temperature.

PROVIDERS CURRENTLY ACCREDITED TO OFFER THIS UNIT STANDARD:
This information shows the current accreditations (i.e. those not past their accreditation end dates), and is the most complete record available to SAQA as of today. Some Primary or Delegated Quality Assurance Functionaries have a lag in their recording systems for provider accreditation, in turn leading to a lag in notifying SAQA of all the providers that they have accredited to offer qualifications and unit standards, as well as any extensions to accreditation end dates. The relevant Primary or Delegated Quality Assurance Functionary should be notified if a record appears to be missing from here.
