PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD |
This standard is in the elective category of the NQF Level 5 National Diploma in CTFL Mechanician Processes. Learners who are assessed competent with this unit standard are able to conduct major repairs and overhauls to textile machinery (dry processes) and interpret design and innovation specifications for textile machinery (dry processes). Learners will also be able to select product design concepts and prove their design functionality. |
LEARNING ASSUMED TO BE IN PLACE AND RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING |
Learners will have attained the National Certificate in CTFL Mechanician Processes at NQF Level 4 or equivalent qualification. The required qualification at NQF Level 4 in Machine Repair and Overhauls. |
