PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
State the implication and application of sections 17,18 and 37 and the regulations regarding driven machines, electrical installations and electrical machinery of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHS ACT) as it applies to mechanics employed in the air-conditioning, refrigeration and ventilation industries.
