PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD

This Unit Standard will be useful to learners who wish to trace the growth of the early Church and to discover principles that could enrich the life and witness of the Church and serve as a model for Christian discipleship in today's world.

Identify key factors in that growth

Explain principles observed in the early church and show how they might enrich the life and witness of today's Church

Early difficulties are described to illustrate the obstacles faced by the early Christians.

Identify and explain key factors in that growth.
