A learner who has achieved this unit standard will be competent in:

Evaporating hexane from paprika miscella without supervision to ensure maximum evaporation efficiency.

UNIT STANDARD RANGE 
The scope of this unit standard deals with the evaporation of hexane from paprika miscella, monitoring miscella temperatures, vacuum pressure, pumps and valves, miscella levels, steam and hexane levels in batch evaporator.

The specific outcomes as reflected in this unit standard are performed without direct supervision, but with access to standard working procedures and operating instructions.
