PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
The person credited with this unit standard is able to evaluate existing promotional strategies and develop and implement a strategy that will suit the business. Learners will also be able to delegate resources to achieve the promotion objectives and monitor the activities during and after the promotion. They will also be able to evaluate the effectiveness of the promotion.

The qualifying learner is capable of:
  • Evaluating promotional strategies and selecting preferred option
  • Conceptualising promotional strategies
  • Delegating tasks
  • Tracking the promotion 

  • LEARNING ASSUMED TO BE IN PLACE AND RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING 
    Learners accessing this qualification will have demonstrated competence against the standards in the National Certificate in Marketing, Marketing Communication or Marketing Research or Marketing Management or Customer Management at NQF Level 4 or equivalent.
