PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD |
This Unit Standard forms part of the National Certificate in Auctioneering Support. While it is suited for people working in the auctioneering industry it would also be applicable to any person responsible for the handling and transportation of livestock and game as well as agricultural products.

The behaviour of livestock and game is anticipated and behaviour that could lead to increased stress and or injury to themselves other livestock or people is prevented using standard techniques. |
ASSESSMENT CRITERION 3 |
Measures to avoid stress and injury and to ensure a good settling in period, while holding livestock and game in yards are implemented as directed by supervisors. |
ASSESSMENT CRITERION 4 |
Safety equipment and appropriate clothing and footwear which minimises the risk of injury to self and livestock and game are used in accordance with activity carried out. |
