PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD |
The purpose of this Unit Standard is to enable learners to express general text in target language, thereby contributing to multi-lingualism in South Africa, and allowing for the involvement of readers from various language groups. General text transfer facilitates access to information. There is a need for appropriate general text transfer that is relevant, credible, and readable to all language groups. By improving general text transfer, audience access, appreciation, communication and interest are improved.
