PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD |
This unit standard requires learners to be able to transform text types or genres in two languages. This is an essential component of general text translation competence. Competent writers must be able to transform the type or genre of their own and others' text to ensure that text is accessible, relevant, credible, and readable to the language group and level for which it is written.
