PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
Qualifying learners will be able to prepare and provide a continuous supply of stock to the forming section of a paper, board or tissue machine by operating, monitoring and controlling the process whilst adhering to Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality requirements. They also understand the basic process principles of preparing and supplying stock to the forming section of a paper, board or tissue machine. 

LEARNING ASSUMED TO BE IN PLACE AND RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING 
Learners attempting this unit standard are required to read, understand and interpret operating manuals that are of a technical nature. It is therefore required that they have achieved NQF level 3 or equivalent accreditation. 

UNIT STANDARD RANGE 
This unit standard covers the process from high-density chest/ repulper to the manifold system of the headbox/mixing pump.
