The learner is expected to perform the specific outcomes as reflected in this unit standard with minimal supervision, but with access to work-site procedures and operating instructions.
The scope of this unit standard deals with the shutting down of a metallising machine after the metallising of paper rolls and before scheduled cleaning. Material includes different grammage metallised papers, masking tape, aluminium wire, graphite foil, graphite paint, and evaporator boats. Equipment includes, but is not limited to, expansion shafts, cores, special tools, hoisting equipment and pallet trucks. |
