Learners acquiring this standard will be learning towards obtaining a national qualification or are working within a transport management environment, where acquisition of competence against this standard will add value to learner`s job, or chances of finding employment.

The qualifying learner is capable of:
  • Designing the standard operating procedures of routing and scheduling
  • Managing the routing and scheduling function in a road transport (primary or secondary company function) activity
  • Evaluating route related information received and taking appropriate proactive strategic managerial actions
