This unit standard has as its core purpose to equip learners with the knowledge and understanding required to draft and use various legal agreements that are part of the legal profession. Qualifying learners will be able to:
  • Explain the fundamentals of a legal agreement
  • Discuss the general principles governing parties entering into a legal agreement.
  • Draft a range of legal documents

    The needs and requests of clients are interpreted to the satisfaction of all parties and accurately recorded in the appropriate legal document. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 2 
    Clients are advised of the legal implications attached to specific legal documents. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 3 
    The basic requirements that must be fulfilled when drafting a contract are listed and discussed.

    The various purposes of entering into legal agreements are discussed

    Agreements that have to include VAT in their drafting are outlined and discussed.
