PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD |
A learner credited with this unit standard will be able to evaluate his or her own capacity in terms of a set of selected criteria appropriate to self-evaluation principles in the development field.
The learner will be able to determine his/her level of understanding and assess what to do to improve his/her own learning and performance. This will enable the learner to continue to seek ways of strengthening his/her practice in order to contribute more effectively to the field of development. |

Anyone assessing learners against this unit standard could be employed as a development practitioner in the same provider institution with at least a level 5 Qualification and work with a registered assessor in development practice with the relevant ETQA.
Registered Assessors must have a level 5 qualification in development practice and prior or concurrent experience as a development practitioner. |
