PURPOSE AND RATIONALE OF THE QUALIFICATION 
The qualifying learner will be competent to facilitate teaching and learning and embark on educational research within an elected area of specialisation in the Further and Higher Education and Training Bands. 

LEARNING ASSUMED TO BE IN PLACE AND RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING 
At least 480 credits of which 211 credits are on NQF level 6, in related fields of knowledge and skill in at least one of the following specialisation areas of teacher education (Commerce, Technology, Technical, Home Economics, Natural Science, Mathematics).
