PURPOSE AND RATIONALE OF THE QUALIFICATION 
Graduates are able to complete a lectured Masters degree in Communication Management or a Masters Research Dissertation. The Masters Research Dissertation must be completed in three years and the lectured Masters in two years. The credits for both qualifications are equal.

The general purpose of the qualification is to provide graduates (that might already be in the fields of management), with more advanced theoretical knowledge, strategic research knowledge and problem solution skills. It also has as purpose to provide application skills to the different specialist areas of corporate communication management, as well as case studies in the field of strategic communication management. In so doing, the qualification enables graduates to contribute pragmatically to the corporate communication management environment. On a metatheoretical level the qualification will provide graduates with a philosophical basis to corporate communication management.

The important elements of independent thinking and integrated assessment are integral parts of the qualification
