  • Acquire advanced knowledge of the main concepts in the chosen field
  • Be competent in specialised theoretical knowledge in the chosen field
  • Have capacity to understand and conceptualise the link between social; historical, economic and cultural factors and their general impact on chosen field of research
  • Be able to formulate strategies to solve political, social, religious and cultural differences in the chosen research area
  • Appreciate that individual national interest are as important as all other considerations in international decision making
  • Develop skills to critically analyse and evaluate political phenomena
  • Develop capacity to conduct research utilising modern technology
  • Curve a career path for themselves in the international public sector, business and non-governmental organisation sector
