1. To produce graduate trained in social policy analysis and development management, for employment in responsible positions in the public service, non-governmental organisations, community-based organisations, and other developmental institutions, as well as in certain areas of the private sector;

2. To meet the challenge of managing change in South Africa and in the broader Southern African region.
