PURPOSE AND RATIONALE OF THE QUALIFICATION 
An intermediate postgraduate degree to provide qualifiers with the following:
1. Graduate-level knowledge in Economic and Management Sciences analysis and policy application
2. A sound theoretical base and understanding of the various sub-disciplines in economic and management sciences.
3. To provide South Africa with theoretically specialised postgraduates with sound analytical skills and ability.
