| PURPOSE AND RATIONALE OF THE QUALIFICATION |
| To provide mid career managers in the private, public and voluntary sectors with specialised knowledge and skills about selected complex technical aspects of management, public project management, public financial management, public personnel management) in order to promote sustainable growth and development and maximise prosperity in all sectors of the economy and society.
To develop competent leaders in the field of Public and Development Management with specialised applied fundamental and generic cross functional technical knowledge and skills to steer sustainable development, growth and prosperity in the most appropriate direction. To provide students who want to enroll for highly specialised doctoral level studies in Public and Development Management, with a sound academic and research base from which to do so. |

2. A range of formative and summative assessment methods such as simulations, assignments, workplace assessments, written and oral presentations and examinations are used. 3. The required range of modalities is used integratively to assess whether the specified outcomes have been achieved. 4.
