| ASSOCIATED ASSESSMENT CRITERIA |
| 1. A wide range of assessment practices to enable students to demonstrate capability development. To this end thesis, research reports, written and oral presentations (both individual and group), tests adn examinations are used.
2. Students are encouraged to relate their assessment to their work and other life experiences. 3. The thesis is regarded as the culmination of the learning experience, in which students apply knowledge, understanding and skills developed in the programme to a detailed study of an area of specific concern. 4. The assessment practices used for this qualification ensure that the purpose of the qualification is achieved. 5. The assessment used, meets the standard and level of achievement for NQF level 8. INTEGRATED ASSESSMENT Integrated assessment takes place in terms of a variety of procedures such as cross-disciplinary assignments, simulations, workplace assessments, thesis, research reports, written examinations and oral presentation and examinations. |

Vertical articulation into a PhD, D Phil, D Admin, or D Comm qualification at the university of Stellenbosch is possible, while students can also proceed to doctoral programmes at most universities in South Africa. |
