PURPOSE AND RATIONALE OF THE QUALIFICATION 
The purpose of this qualification is to supply the adventure tourism industry with competent instructors who can lead intermediate outdoor programmes and manage, under supervision, an adventure tourism business.

  • ARTICULATION OPTIONS 
    Articulation possibilities exist with other Technikons offering this qualification as well as private institutions and industry training. This qualification forms the foundation for the professional degree in Adventure Tourism. 

    MODERATION OPTIONS 
    Two internal moderators and one exteral moderator must moderate final integrated portfolio assessment. 

    CRITERIA FOR THE REGISTRATION OF ASSESSORS 
    The current SERTEC requirements regarding examiners apply.
