PURPOSE AND RATIONALE OF THE QUALIFICATION 
The purpose of this qualification is to supply the Turfgrass Industry (and related disciplines within the Horticultural and Landscape sectors of the Green Industry) with competent entrepreneurs who can establish and manage a turfgrass facility, develop entrepreneurial opportunities in the field of turfgrass management and conduct basic research. 

LEARNING ASSUMED TO BE IN PLACE AND RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING 
First degree in Turf grass Management or relevant equivalent qualification of at least 360 credits at NQF level 6.

The qualification will be awarded to a learner who has provided evidence to the satisfaction of the assessors that the stated competence of the qualification, as detailed in the specified outcomes, has been achieved, either through education and training in a single provider`s learning programme, or through experience that complies with the

    ARTICULATION OPTIONS 
    Articulation possibilities exist with other Technikons offering this qualification. Limited articulation possibilities also exist with private institutions and industry training. This qualification forms the foundation for the Master`s degree in Turf grass Management. 

    MODERATION OPTIONS 
    Two internal moderators and one external moderator must moderate final integrated prtfolio assessment.
