PURPOSE AND RATIONALE OF THE QUALIFICATION 
A qualified learner is capable of not only managing the engineering functions of the business, but also the technology concerned with the development work, manufacturing processes and the accompanying information systems. Further more the engineer selects and applies a range of technology management techniques at all levels in organizations and industry to optimise productivity and to enhance quality of work life. A typical case could be that of a project manager or project engineer in control of a manufacturing enterprise.

    Formative assessment:
    Assessment is conducted within a modular framework and is directed at evaluating the knowledge, skills and mental disposition as required per module of instruction/subject by means of a formal examination per subject

    Summative assessment:
    Written examination and case studies applicable to each module will be used to determine the knowledge of the learners with respect to the application and interpretation of the module contents. 

  • ARTICULATION OPTIONS 
    Learners could migrate to M Tech: Management Practise, MBA and other NQF Level 8 programmes. 

    MODERATION OPTIONS 
    SERTEC and Professional Project Managers supervise moderation of learning programmes and outcomes.
