PURPOSE AND RATIONALE OF THE QUALIFICATION 
The purpose of this qualification is to supply the outdoor management development industry and outdoor teambuilding industry with competent development trainers and facilitators. The qualified learner will be competent to plan, design, implement and manage outdoor management development training programmes for corporate groups and to conduct basic research in this field for clients. 

LEARNING ASSUMED TO BE IN PLACE AND RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING 
First degree in Outdoor Recreation or other relevant qualification equivalent to 360 credits at NQF level 6

Recognition of prior learning:

RPL according to set criteria plus relevant workplace experience equivalent to a minimum of 5 years in the outdoor recreation industry.

The qualification will be awarded to a learner who has provided evidence to the satisfaction of the assessor that the stated competence of the qualification, as detailed in the specified outcomes, has been achieved, either through education and training in a single provider's learning programme, and through experiential learning experience that complies with the stated specified outcomes.

    Limited articulation possibilities exist with other management qualifications. This qualification forms the foundation for Masters Degree studies in the field of outdoor management development training.
