This qualification is intended for Agricultural Management students in the Higher Education and Training of the NQF.   • Stock table: Composition of stock, sales, deaths and losses, purchases, reproduction, internal transfers.
  • Cost table: Purchased feed, self produced fee, AI and veterinarian costs, transport, marketing, seasonal labour, packing material, sundries, dosing, dipping and inoculating.
  • General information: Month of shearing, prices of livestock (sell and purchase), reproduction, mortalities, price of products, opening and closing numbers (values)
  • Determining of the gross margin: Gross production value (product income, trade income capital change), directly allocatable variable costs. Answers expressed in R/animal, R/LSU, R/SSU, R/ha

    5.3 The learner will be assessed on the production of viable sound production mapping of the following livestock:
    Cattle, game, goats, sheep, pig, dairy and poultry.
