PURPOSE AND RATIONALE OF THE QUALIFICATION 
A candidate at this level has the competence to explore, develop and apply new technology and knowledge in a specialised field of dance. 

LEARNING ASSUMED TO BE IN PLACE AND RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING 
Qualification: M. Tech (Dance) or equivalent at NQF level 8 in an appropriate field. Personal interview and dissertation proposal.

The qualification will be awarded to a learner who has provided evidence to the satisfaction of the assessors that the stated competence of the qualification, as detailed in the specified outcomes, has been achieved, either through education and training in a single provider's learning programme, or through experience that complies with the stated specified outcomes

  • An advanced and original research project which could incorporate a practical application component, comprising at least 30% but not exceeding 50% of the total project.
