PURPOSE AND RATIONALE OF THE QUALIFICATION 
The main purpose of this qualification is to provide qualified learners with theoretical and practical knowledge and skills of strategic communication management, as well as applied competence in the field of Corporate Communication Management and Research Methodology.

The secondary purposes of the qualification are to provide communication management expertise in the areas of Development Communication, Business and Administrative Communication, International Communication and Internet Marketing and Communication. 

LEARNING ASSUMED TO BE IN PLACE AND RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING 
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL):
The institution conducts RPL in terms of the policy and guidelines of the institution to recognise other forms of formal, informal and non-formal learning and experience. In cases where learners do not comply with the formal admission requirements, the institution applies its RPL policy.

The minimum entry requirement for this qualification is:

    After the completion of the Honours qualification in Communication Management, the qualified learner will have mastered and be able to apply advanced communication management knowledge and will be able to solve current and future communication problems in the various specialist areas of Business and Administrative Communication, Development Communication, International Communication and Internet Marketing and Communication.
