  • To provide qualifiers with graduate-level knowledge, specific skills and applied competence in the distinct fields of management

  • To supply economically relevant numbers of qualifiers to ensure the necessary local leadership and innovative behaviour that ultimately extend to the regional, national and international areas of economic activity.
  • In short: to prepare candidates as potentials managers who can further be trained to the exact needs of the business, corporate world or to be able to start and manage an own enterprise.

    The minimum entry requirement for this qualification is:
  • National Senior Certificate, NQF Level 4, granting access to Bachelor's studies.

    This qualification consists of the following compulsory and/or elective modules at NQF Level 5, 6 and 7 totalling 360 Credits. 

    EXIT LEVEL OUTCOMES 
    1. A Bachelor of Commerce (Business Management) graduate is able to identify, assess and solve management problems mainly in the corporate environment but is also able to apply principles in smaller enterprises, working effectively with others and communicating effectively.
    After two years: the learner will have a basic knowledge of the eight functional areas in business and able to work in any one of the areas in a large or medium sized enterprise.

    Be able to identify, evaluate and execute functional business activities (not necessarily in an integrative manner).
