The qualification aims to provide South Africa with specialist plant scientist in order to promote the continual development of a high level of knowledge and expertise that is internationally comparable in the field. Graduates will have well-developed technical and research skills in the plant sciences and an attitude of life-long learning ensuring continuing self-development of their field.
