| PURPOSE AND RATIONALE OF THE QUALIFICATION |
| The qualification is intended for company secretaries. The qualifying learner will have the knowledge, skills and abilities in management, administration and communication to be responsible for and participate in assisting the board of directors in the execution of their duties on achieving and maintaining an efficient profitable organisation. |

| The qualification will be awarded to a learner who has provided evidence to the satisfaction of the assessors that the stated competence of the qualification, as detailed in the specific outcomes, has been achieved, either through education and training in a single provider's learning programme, or through experience that complies with the stated specified outcomes. |

| Articulates with qualifications at NQF Level 8 (M-Tech) in Corporate Administration or in the related field such as
M Tech in Accounting, or Advanced Corporate Procedures. |
