PURPOSE AND RATIONALE OF THE QUALIFICATION 
This qualification is intended for senior managers or field specialists within an operations management environment. Persons achieving this qualification will be competent in researching, applying and managing operations management strategies, systems and techniques in the enterprise. The person will be able to optimise the resource usage in a company to benefit the bottom line. The incumbent will be able to act independently or as a member of a management team. He/she will be eligible to register as a professional technician.

The entry level here will be an equivalent NQF 7, B Tech Degree in the field of study or equivalent.

    1. Demonstration of ability through a research dissertation, which is assessed continuously for system, style, content and correctness of use of research principles.
