PURPOSE AND RATIONALE OF THE QUALIFICATION 
The purpose of this qualification is to develop managerial, research and problem solving skills in diagnostic radiography.
The qualification aims to provide South Africa with specialist radiographers in the field of total quality management.
Graduates will have specialised technical competencies, management and research skills in the field of radiography.
An attitude of lifelong learning will be fostered, ensuring continuing self-development and development in this field.
The purpose of this qualification is to register an additional qualification with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).
