| PURPOSE AND RATIONALE OF THE QUALIFICATION |
| After completion of the degree successful candidates have developed the capacity for independent thinking and have demonstrated that they can take initiative in the acquisition of relevant knowledge and skills for their area of specialisation. Masters level qualifiers are able to conduct research, properly present findings orally and in a written format, including the preparation of a dissertation.
They have a developing ability to analyse results and theorise about causation where applicable as well as acquire the necessary background to pursue a doctoral degree. |
