PURPOSE AND RATIONALE OF THE QUALIFICATION

The purpose of the qualification is to provide qualifiers with post-graduate level knowledge in any one of the subdivisions of Anatomy (Gross Anatomy, Neuroanatomy, Embryology, Anthropology and Histology). The qualifier will also have specific skills and applied competence in the specific field, as well as an in depth understanding of human morphology, development and variation. He/she will know how to write a research proposal, and conduct basic research. The qualification will offer specific and inter-disciplinary outcomes, and will be a stimulus for lifelong learning.
