    Integrated Assessment:

    A substantial and well-ordered thesis which satisfies current international standards in the principal area of inquiry, and in which (a) the central argument and its relations with current and earlier streams of thinking are clearly set out, (b) the research strategy is fully specified, and justified, (c) the original research findings are appropriately presented and evaluated, and (d) the implications for knowledge in and thinking about the broader area of inquiry are formally assessed.

    MODERATION OPTIONS 
    The thesis will be moderated independently by two accredited assessors of at least an equivalent qualification at other Universities and an internal assessor from the University of Port Elizabeth, specifically identified and approved for that purpose by the Higher Degrees Committee of the Faculty, and appointed by the University.
