Learning outcomes: The student will have the competence to manage and administer public sector functions with a view to community service delivery. Critical cross-field outcomes: After completing the programme the graduate will be able to: 1. Identify and solve problems and make strategic and operational decisions using critical and creative thinking in the field of Public Administration. 2. Work effectively with co-workers as members of a team, group, organisation and clients and community stakeholders. 3. Organise and manage themselves and their functions responsibly and effectively within set norms and standards. 4. Collect, analyse and organise as well critically evaluate and utilise relevant information for planning and decision-making. 5. Communicate effectively within and organisation as well as with external stakeholders using relevant visual, symbolic, and/or language skills. 6. Use relevant technology effectively in operating a public sector function. 7. Demonstrate a commitment in a socially responsible and environmentally sustainable way.
