| ASSOCIATED ASSESSMENT CRITERIA |
| Assessment differs from course to course. Assessment criteria is negotiated by lecturers and students. This could include, tests, assignment and presentations, summaries or special projects. There is no year mark per course as each course is evaluated independently and receives 10 credits. The assessment is based on the course work, and is integrated throughout the learning experiences. The final assessments should be able to assess to what extend the learner could demonstrate their competence in using the knowledge and skills gained throuhg the courses, and apply it to their current ministry in their churches. It should also be able to assess to which extend the learners can teach and or preach the biblical principles they have learned over that period. |
| INTERNATIONAL COMPARABILITY |
| The Cape Bible Training Centre has a partnership with Southwestern Christian University in Oklahoma. Twelve of our programs are accredited with the Evangelical Training Association in Wheaton Illinois and a certificate is presented to the students after completing their third year. Visiting lecturers from American universities regularly teach the exit
level students. |
| ARTICULATION OPTIONS |
| All present linkages and partnerships are informal. The Cape Bible Training Centre is networking but not in the formal legally documented way that is usually required. Even though the institution has access to the think tanks and resources of other institutions, it is only via individual interactions of our staff and/or student communities. CBTC
lacks the financial resources to secure other permanent or recognised partnerships. The partnerships which the institution has though, are with: Linkages and partnerships allow for more objective assessments of curriculum, syllabi, student guides, and internal and external evaluations. It also permits capacity building to occur. This engenders opportunities for access to more resource materials. Due to the informal arrangements CBTC has with these institutions, CBTC does not necessarily benefit as fully, as it would have from a formal partnership. However, we are not dependent on or swayed by decisions of outside institutions. The size of CBTC does not necessitate or warrant it establishing formal linkages or partnerships. Nevertheless, the institution`s links have existed only verbally; and should the need arise to formalise them to improve or facilitate interaction, necessary partnership plans will then be implemented. |
| MODERATION OPTIONS |
| Moderation is done internally and externally.Chaldo Bible Institute has agreed in principle to be the external moderators for exit level students. |
