PURPOSE AND RATIONALE OF THE QUALIFICATION 
The purpose of this qualification is to provide qualifiers with postgraduate knowledge of Computer Auditing with emphasis on research in this area and also provide opportunities for continued personal intellectual growth, gain full economic activity and rewarding contributions to society.

A further purpose of the qualification is to provide South Africa with significant numbers of highly qualified leaders in the field of computer auditing.

  • The researcher should report, with complete frankness.
  • Analysis of the data should be sufficiently adequate to reveal its significance.
  • Conclusions should be confined to those justified by the data of the research and limited to those for which the data provide an adequate basis.
