| PURPOSE AND RATIONALE OF THE QUALIFICATION |
| The primary purpose of the qualification is to:
1. Address the needs of secondary health care in the area of Medical Physics 2. Provide teaching in Medical physics at a level not possible in undergraduate MBChB study. |

The faculty maintains a list of staff with the necessary specialised knowledge, academic standing, clinical/practical expertise with national standing, from which external assessors will be appointed on a yearly basis. |
