| PURPOSE AND RATIONALE OF THE QUALIFICATION |
| The qualifying learner will have the capability to apply critical analysis, knowledge and understanding of visual and tactile dance forms and demonstrate advanced proficiency in the chosen specialisation within the dance profession. |

Display and employ affective, cognitive and creative elements in creating, producing and teaching of dance. 3. Undertake specialised research. Specified outcomes: Produce, create and/or perform works of high conceptual content to an appropriate professional and technical standard. Apply the knowledge, principles and concepts of dance in order to function, and play a role as a professional dance practitioner (C & E) (50 credits) (NQF 7). Apply entrepreneurial and management skills in order to function as a professional dance practitioner? (15 credits) (NQF 7). Relate the appropriate professional and technical standard to the chosen dance practice ? (20 credits) (NQF 7). Conduct formal and stylistic analysis of dance works? (15 credits) (NQF 7). | While South Africa still had Technikons, all of their qualifications were registered under the Committee of Technikon Principals. After the Technikons became Universities of Technology or merged with Universities, the qualifications were registered under each of these institutions, and the CTP qualifications fell away (hence the end date of 2006, above). Where relevant, replacement information is shown in the table above. |
