PURPOSE AND RATIONALE OF THE QUALIFICATION 
A qualifying learner will make a contribution to the practice of graphic design through investigation of a specialised area of graphic communication in order to further professional growth and personal development.

Undertake a project which embodies original visual work executed within the selected field of specialisation and which applies and demonstrates the findings of the investigation

SPECIFIED LEVEL:
1. Identify key problems, targets and objectives in the field of specialisation (C - 10 credits) (NQF 7)

    While South Africa still had Technikons, all of their qualifications were registered under the Committee of Technikon Principals. After the Technikons became Universities of Technology or merged with Universities, the qualifications were registered under each of these institutions, and the CTP qualifications fell away (hence the end date of 2006, above).
