| 1. Specialised Statistics skills and advanced research skills is displayed in Economic and Management Sciences or related discipline.
2. The ability to identify, analyse and solve Statistics and commercial problems is demonstrated in a systematic, critical and creative way. 3. A specialised understanding of how to manage Statistics resources and processes is demonstrated in a business context. 4. Ideas and interests are articulated and promoted through effective Communication in oral and written modes. 5. An in-depth understanding and contribution to the socio-economic challenges of developing South Africa is demonstrated in an ethical and responsible manner. Integrated assessment: The Faculty has adopted a dual system of attaining a Master's i.e. full thesis or course-work with research report/mini thesis. With course work, a number of assessment events are administered throughout the year and a variety of assessment instruments are used (for example: tests, essays and project reports). With a full research Master's, assessments are conducted by a supervisor, an internal examiner and an external supervisor. |
| ARTICULATION OPTIONS |
| Vertical articulation:
On completion, students may progress to a doctoral qualification at any other higher education institution. The quality of performance at level 7 may determine access to the higher level. Horizontal articulation: Transfer of credits between institutions will depend on the respective learning programmes and unique articulation of different institutions. |
