PURPOSE AND RATIONALE OF THE QUALIFICATION 
Die program is gemik op studente wat 'n belangstelling toon in spesifieke fasette van die Afrikaanse taal-en/of letterkunde. Hierdie program het as doel om leerders toe te rus om in 'n gespesialiseerde terrein, wat die Afiikaanse taal-en/of letterkunde raak, 'n teoreties integrerende en verruimende bydrae te maak met 'n praktiese tekstoepassing wat in die vorm van 'n verhandeling aangebied sal word.

Uitgangsvlakuitkoms:

'n Integrering van bekwaamhede op die terrein van die Afrikaanse Taal- en/of Letterkunde wat 'n aanduiding gee van bemeesterde vaardighede, waardes en houdings, en wat 'n evaluerende vermoe aandui om bestaande teoriee te integreer, te verruim en teksgerig toe te pas.


Spesifieke uitkomste:

1. Die leerder is in staat om met bestaande inligting en dokumentasie rakende Afrikaanse taal- en/of letterkunde integreend om te gaan.

2. Die leerder is in staat om verkrygde inligting en dokumentasie te verwerk, te sistematiseer en te integreer.

3. Die leerder is in staat om wetenskaplik verantwoorde argument te voer rakende 'n onderwerp uit die veld van Afrikaans taal-en/of veruim en prakties toepas aan die hand van tekste. 

ASSOCIATED ASSESSMENT CRITERIA 
1.1 Versamel 'n verskeidenheid inligting en dokumentasie oor 'n selfstandig gekose tema en met tekste as toepassingsterrein.
1.2 Orden en selekteer literatuur wat van toepassing is op die tema wat ondersoek word.

2.1 Analiseer en integreer die verkrygde inligting wat lei tot die formulering van 'n navorsingsvoorstel.
2.2 Formuleer 'n navorsingsvoorstel.

3.1 Argumenteer en formuleer die probleemstelling, doel, aktualiteit, hipoteses -en afbakening van die studie.
3.2 Produseer 'n verhandeling oor 'n onderwerp aan in die veld van Afrikaanse taal-en/of letterkunde.


Integrated assessment:

Formatiewe en summatiewe assessering is deur 'n enkele uitgangsvlakuitkoms geintegreer en bestaan uit 'n verhandeling waar leerders in staat gestel word om hulle vaardighede kontekstueel toe te pas en te demonstreer. 

ARTICULATION OPTIONS 
Vertikaal gesien, is daar 'n duidelike verwantskap en 'n deurlopende kontinuiteit tussen die Honores-en Magistergraadprogram. Die leerder kan dus na voltooiing van die graad Magister Artium (Afrikaans)vir die graad Doctor Litterarum registreer. 

MODERATION OPTIONS 
  • Assessering sal gemodereer word deur inteme tweede assesseerders wat spesialiste is in die veld van die letterkunde en die taalkunde wat teorie en praktyk insluit.
  • Die program en kwalifikasie sal periodiek geevalueer word deur 'n paneel van eksteme assesseerders wat deur die Fakulteitsraacl, Senaat en die Raad van die Universiteit aangestel sal word.

    Kriteria wat deur die Higher Education Quality Committee geidentifiseer en daargestel word, sal aangewend word.
