3. To provide South Africa with theoretically specialised post-graduates with sound economic analytical skills and abilities.

Learning outcomes:
Graduates should be able to utilise economic and financial market knowledge and research skills with special emphasis on economic analysis and policy application on an advanced level.

A least one-year teaching experience at graduate level

External examiner: At least a doctoral degree in economics and relevant monetary experience.
